The Jackson

Envisioned as a cluster (or village) of programmatic uses, including retail, restaurant, office and apartments, The Jackson carefully orchestrates public and private space. Public space is dominated by a second floor deck that provides elevated views out to the street and a visual draw into the project from the street. The deck becomes a mixing point for the public and residential and commercial tenants. As a counter-point to the public deck, apartments are organized around a landscaped courtyard that acts as a gathering space for residents and provides a reprieve from the bustle of the city. The material palette is limited and industrial to create a coherent face throughout the project.
