A native of Solana Beach, Stephen founded SDA in 2004 with a mission to bring principal-led project delivery, creativity, and professionalism to the service of client needs. He is a consensus builder who fosters an open, collaborative design process with clients and other stakeholders. His work with private developers, public agencies, non-profits, and individual clients has given him valuable experience in a broad range of project types. Stephen's designs favor simple, elegant solutions to complex problems, always grounded in a thorough knowledge of codes, construction, and materials. Sustainable building practices are also an important aspect of his work.

Project Architect

Mr. Moore's architectural experience includes municipal, educational, and mixed use projects. He is responsible for the management of projects, including the production and coordination of construction documents. His expertise enables the smooth progression of a project and ensures documents are well coordinated among consultants. He enjoys following a project from the initial design to the built product and how architecture can transform a community.

Briana Ellis

LEED AP / Job Captain

Ms. Ellis has experience with a broad range of project types, including religious facilities, recreation centers, large scale retail, commercial tenant improvements, and custom residential. Her responsibilities include preparing design documents, presentations, computer visualizations, and construction documents. She is interested in the design of space as it affects the user and believes good design is a catalyst for positive experience.
